Stoneware, raised-relief decoration. This stein features the Roman god of the sea, Neptune, resting on a raging sea. To the left waves crash against the base of a lighthouse and to the right a ship braves the stormy seas. The entire stein is skillfully hand-painted with color and gold leaf accents. Rope and nots border the top and bottom of the stein along with various nautical themed items. A mermaid figurehead forms the handle of the stein and a conical pewter lid completes the piece. Limited edition of 5,000 pieces worldwide.
