This handsome black and gold stoneware stein is decorated with a pewter applique which honors the profession of firefighting. The pewter medallion features a fire hose, flame, helmet, and ax symbol and includes the German phrase, "Gott zur Ehr, dem Nachsten zur Wehr," which roughly translates to, "The glory of God and the protection of our neighbors." A beautiful ornamental pewter lid completes the piece.
